The Dingman Delaware Elementary School staff and students put their heart into Autism Acceptance Month this year.
Pike Autism Support Services would like to thank the students and Faculty of Shohola Elementary School for their participation in this year’s Poster Contest.
Two Rivers Grille supported the local non-profit during April by participating in their Knock It Back Blue Campaign, creating a blue drink and selling shirts. Owner and Exec. Chef Daniel Weber took it a step further by adding the “Blue Margarita” to their drink menu and donating a $1 of the cost of the drink to PASS. Come enjoy the delicious appetizers & entrees and a perfect summer drink! PASS thanks Daniel and his amazing staff for their support!
The good folks at Skylands Stadium, home of the Sussex County Miners CANAM Baseball team in Augusta, NJ welcomed two Pike County Challenger Division Little League Baseball Teams to play on their field. It was a hot
day, but all the players were ready for some baseball and to see themselves up on the jumbo screen. The Challenger division is for individuals with special needs ages 5 and up. The Challenger Motto is “a chance for kids to come together as a team and be cheered.
“We don’t count outs and we don’t count runs. Everybody plays. Everybody scores. Everybody wins”.
Pike Autism Support Services would like to thank the Pike County Bar Association for sponsoring both Challenger teams and their support.
The students of the Dingman-Delaware Middle School (DDMS) created Autism Posters.
Mrs. Favaro’s and Mr. Batista’s Computer Literacy 7 students volunteered to created graphic design posters and participated in the Autism Acceptance Poster Contest sponsored by the Pike Autism Support Services. The theme this year was “Growing Acceptance”. Students used Microsoft Publisher to create the posters and apply their own interpretation of the theme. This year’s winners are in 1st Place Keira Linehan, 2nd Place Dakota Steele, 3rd Place Alyssa Purpura, honorable mention, Bridget Gendreau, Reilly Ziolkowski, Vito Montorio , Stevie Hamilton and Zachary Morgan. Congratulations, and thank you to all the DDMS students who participated in this year’s poster contest.

Pike Autism Support Services of NEPA. ( P.A.S.S.) hosted their Annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa on Sat. Dec. 10 th at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall. This event is specifically for Children with Special needs and their families. Santa met with over 150 guests & volunteers to hear what was on their list.
